Some time back during one of the occasional and perennial discussions
about adhesives, someone mentioned there was an adhesive now
effective for adhering slippery plastics. I cannot find the reference
but I remember it was a two-part system involving a surface prep and
the adhesive. Today while nosing around Home Depot I noticed a
Locktite product "Plastics Bonding System." There is a small marker
like container used to dispense the surface prep and a 2g tube of
adhesive. The description says the system is designed to fuse hard-to-
bond plastics including polyethylene and polypropylene.

If anyone is interested the Component IDH is 1398465 and the barcode
is 7934082565. It was about $4.00. Not sure when I will get around to
using it but I look forward to seeing how effective it is.
