The other day a few of us pre-WWII modelers were discussing Howe and Pratt truss single-sheathed box cars. One of these modelers has a 1928 focus and wanted to include some Pratt truss single-sheathed box cars in his fleet. After some quick research, it seems that there were very few single-sheathed box cars employing the Pratt truss design before the 1923 ARA Proposed Standard XM-1 cars.
Are there some prototypes we are missing from the 1900-1925 era?
