I like to keep tabs on a weekly basis on what Walthers has on sale for my favorite railroad. I also check Ebay regularly to see what's available.
I always see listings of rolling stock on Ebay at or higher than their original prices, for models that are currently on sale for sometimes substantially less, and still readily available either directly from Walthers or by ordering via one's friendly local hobby shop. I usually do the latter as then I don't even have to pay shipping.
