A great film of a great railroad. Somehow though I think the horn of plenty has a hole in it.
A similar film - 1940's freight trains on the Chicago and Northwestern ..... - is just as good. At about the 6 minute mark there's an 8 rib, CRR of NJ (CNJ) hopper - on the C&NW! I wonder how that got there.
