Re: Prototype Rails 2013

Anyone take pictures for their photosites, such as PBase?

Mike et al,
Glad you had such a great event---any chance of having it out west in say... Seattle?     May I suggest Aug-Oct when the weather is PERFECT!
just a thought...

Now that the thirteenth consecutive Prototype Rails [ The Bash on the
Beach ] is history and since I have recovered about 50% of what faculties I
still have remaining, I would like to thank the many members of the STMFC
that attended and particularly those that made presentations. Such meets as
Prototype Rails are very dependent on presenters, attendees, and I should
add, the many manufacturers and vendors that attend.

I should also mention that Armand Premo, long time member of the STMFC and a
member of the meet's registration function, suffered a fall on the Friday
morning before the meet, was hospitalized and underwent surgery afterwards.
I have talked with him several times since, he is now in a rehab center and
seems to be doing quite well.

I would like to note that the average high temperature during the meet was
80°. In recent years I have been blamed for temps somewhat lower than 80. I
am, therefore, taking full credit for the extremely nice weather. I will
apologize, however, for the appearance of two small clouds that showed on
the eastern horizon [ calling Bill Schneider ] briefly during lunch on the
deck Friday.
