Re: Handcock Hand Brake Availability Question

Nelson and Schuyler,
I thought I knew quite a bit about hand brakes but I have never encountered a "Handcock" or "Hancock" hand brake. Could one or the other or both you gentlemen provide me with the source of your information? I suppose off-list would be best. Thank you.

Schuyler,

Thanks for the spelling lesion, but no, Google or Walthers still don't
produce any results with the correct spelling. FWIW, the Sunshine
instruction sheet and prototype data sheet for Kit #22.6 both spell it
'Handcock', which why I spelled it that way. CB&Q XA-11A raised roof auto
boxcars were fitted with 'Hancock' brake levers, and I'm building two of
these cars that I need the part for. The Miner D-2736 hand brake is
available, and it might satisfy the 3 foot rule if I can't find the Hancock
brake.

Nelson, would your searches produce a different result if you spelled it "Hancock," the correct spelling?

Does anyone make a Handcock hand brake in HO scale? A search of Walthers and
a Google search both came up empty.
