In talking with the fellow at Tangent’s table after lunch today, I learned the 1930 STCX car would probably not work for my 1949 era, as Standard Tank was out of business and most of the cars would have been relettered by 49. He did say the 1958 GATX car would work, all I would have to do was paint over the ACI tag and changed the 1958 date to a date in the 40’s. As there was no change in the car, nor in the basic GATX lettering. He did say that more P/L schemes were in the works. I did not get to Tangent’s clinic, so I cannot say what those might be, but was lead to believe that the future would bring forth cars very appropriately lettered for my 1949 time frame.
