You can also use "Micro Superfilm" that is manufactured by Krasel
Industires. Just brush it on over the affected damaged decal and when
it dries (15 minutes) it can be used just like any other new decal. I
have used it and Microscale Liquid Decal Film and have had good
results on both older Champ and MicroScale decals.

Spray them with Lacquer Thinner has worked for me. I have not been able to
tell about the potential to break apart. If they are old I just spray them
till they are soaked, then let them dry real good.
