It is 70º as we speak, and with an unusual (to me) east wind, there is a very high surf, more familiar to me on the Pacific, than onto the Atlantic here in previous years..  The sunrise was gorgeous. We have already greeted, supped with, and conversed with a number of the usual suspects familiar to this good List. The big inrush in this afternoon.

Yes, the hotel is under substantial reconstruction, which has left  temporarily unavailable some of the usual amenities.  However-   my distinct impression is that the staff is bending over backwards to make things right for us, and IMHO they will succeed.  We just finished an absolutely delicious breakfast-  a generous quite delectable Continental Breakfast COMPLIMENTARY (for participants), with a full array a hot food for @$6.00 extra. 

We had the latter, and overall it was beautifully  prepared  to the extent that one actually remarked on it .
