Carmer Cut Levers in HO scale, part #8053. The levers are
made as a single piece, as requested by those who responded to my
request for preferences. The design is created from PRR drawings
posted in the files section of the Steam Era Freight Cars mail list on
Yahoo Groups. A bending guide is enclosed with each package.
Each package has nine sets of levers in the following quantities.
(Types are for reference only and not official designations)
1 ea Type A, 2 ea Type B, 2 ea Type C, 3 ea Type D, and 1 ea Type
These are the descriptions for the types:
A) #1 Handle with #1 Operating Lever as
GL, GLC, GS, GSA, (GSC and GSD prior
to 1915), KF, KFA, XL, XLB, XLC, XLH
B) #1 Handle with #2 Operating Lever as
FM, F22, GLA, GP, GPA, GR, GRA, H21A,
C) #2 Handle with #3 Operating Lever as
G21, G23, H24, H25, H26, K7, X23, X25
D) #17 Handle with #16 Operating Lever as
E) #14 Handle with #21 Operating lever as
G24, X26 (USRA boxcar)
Other types of cars can use these with slight bending or
trimming. Extra length is added to all operating levers to
accommodate model couplers, if needed. The price is $20,
postpaid, for the nine pairs of levers.
