Also note that the car still has its K-brake. Actually, I doubt if any of these cars were ever converted to AB, except perhaps for a few that ended their days in MW service. I have a shot of one of these, MW 910217, taken near Gladstone circa 1985. Sadly, I can't see any underframe detail, but I am reasonably certain it has AB brakes.
