The cars in question were built in two groups by the Mount Vernon Car Manufacturing Co. with 52000-52049 built ca. 10-38 and 52050-52149 built ca. 1-42. A photo of Southern 52049 was published in the 1940 and 1943 Car Builders’ Cyclopedia. A digital image is available for purchase from the Archives of Canada, Andrew Merrilees Collection.
