Re: Grandt Line Midwest Petroleum

Like you I have been looking high and low for this kit, with no success. I agree that the tanks are (were) superior to any other oil tanks out there. I treasure the one set I have.

I have worked around their unavailability to some extent by using the tanks (only) from Tichy's #7019 small water tank. These also are excellently done tanks. To get the tanks I contacted Tichy directly and they quoted me a reasonable price for six of the tanks. I stacked two and put a flat lid cut from .040 styrene on top for a vertical tank.

Another Item from them that I have been searching for is the HO Midwest Petrolium
kit. Tony Thompson has mentioned that the tanks in this ukit are far superior to other
offerings. When I mentioned that I had been looking for this kit I was told (You
and everyone else). Apparenty the mold had broken and this was no longer in their line.
Should anyone have one of these tucked away in thier stash I would be willing to pay
a healthy price.
