I place a drop of carpenters' yellow glue (aliphatic resin for our UK readers) on the tip of the screw before inserting it into a tapped truck screw hole in the bolster. The glue sets in the hole, filling the void between threads and locking it in place regardless of where it is driven. The screw can be withdrawn easily if needed.
And that method works better than Locktite, which sometimes works too well!
