I noticed that the tank itself is of single rivet row construction.

My question is, when did construction of single rivet row tank cars cease?


      May 1, 1917, with the introduction of MCB Class III standards. But double rivet rows had been RECOMMENDED since 1910, and many new cars after 1910 were built that way.
