1944 – How to deliver a Fire Truck

This is a relatively compact two-axle truck with a metal three-section ladder, fitting comfortably within a 50' car. A pumper could fit in a 40' car. However, the largest ladder trucks, tractor-drawn with a long two-section wooden aerial ladder, could exceed 60' overall length. Hence the need for the X30.
