It seems to me that painting the inside to match what you see standing in a stock car is not the way to paint a model. If you are standing 87 feet away from a prototype stock car then the inside is going to be dark. Exceptions might be low sun directly behind you at just the right angle, or the back of the opposite door if the near one is open. I would think a very dark gray, and very flat finish.
