The GACX cars would likely have had a Barber truck: depending on the year builtS-2 or S-3. The General American sales and maintenance guys said that Barber was their favored truck for decades.

I acquired a single bay Airslide hopper with roller bearing trucks. I noticed that many prototype photos of these cars, introduced circa 1954, show older style solid bearing trucks. Links to some photos are below.

What would be an appropriate solid bearing truck for this car?
