Now that Intermountain has released their model, I have some questions about Deco Ends. We tend to describe dreadnaught ends in technical terms and great detail (4/5, 4/4 IDE, R+3-4, etc.) Was there a proper name for Deco Ends used in advertising and the cyclopedias?? I assume the Deco Ends were manufactured/patented by a competitor of SRE and the ends were ultimately a commercial failure. Who was the manufacturer? Were these ends used on anything other than the ’37 boxcar
