having built and repaired lots of (steam locomotive) boilers a long time ago, I wouldn't say these boilers are very large. Even by allowing a certain surcharge to the wall thickness (don't know the operating pressure) I would estimate around 15 tons for the larger type, 20 tons at the most, and less than half of that for the smaller type.

The dimensions I listed are calculated from the Multi Scale website so the boilers in the photo, which are on their website, are smaller that the scale of the model.
