Hi Jim,

I've had superglue glue caps on that took lots of effort to break off, and also superglue that set up hard in a bottle.  I currently use Loctite Super Glue Ultra Liquid Control.  It comes in a squeeze bottle with a twist cap that never gets stuck, and I never have to clear the nozzle.  With most other brands, I have to drill out the hardened glue in the applicator nozzle before each use.  The Loctite seems to be a medium thin glue, and it works well for me in most applications.  Bill Welch swears by Duro Super Glue sold in Walmart and other big box stores, IIRC.  It comes in a 4 tube pack and it lasts and lasts without hardening.
