Bill is correct, just ask you dentist. I asked my dentist and he gave me a hand full of various picks he no longer used. I was afraid to ask how he managed to break the ends off
of a couple of them.
You can grind the broken tips into specific shapes that meet your needs. While waiting for a crown which my dentist makes "while you wait" I got to see the machine that does this. Looks like "rapid prototyping" to me. I had a lot to think about during the remainder of my visit.
