Hooker and PennSalt changed their schemes over the years. The orange and black billboard scheme for Hooker started in late ‘50s and went to mid ‘60s . . .
I have a photo from the Richard Hendrickson collection of an orange and black Hooker tank (Tacoma) dated 1949. Don't know the paint history otherwise, perhaps someone on the list will.
