Back when the Oregon Pacific & Eastern Railroad (Made famous from the movies "Stand by me" and "Empire of the North") was operating as a steam tourist line, one of these NP reefers was visible shortly after the departure from the train station in Cottage Grove.
I have stopped to check on this car some years ago and I found that it was no longer there. Was this car, which seemed to be in nice condition, preserved?
