Were Pullman Standard's Bow Tie roofs ever applied to their riveted box cars that were built just before the PS-1 welded box cars were introduced?

Short answer is no. Prior to production of the earliest PS-1 box cars in June 1947, earlier riveted-side box cars built by Pullman-Standard to AAR designs used a variety of roofs to include Murphy, Viking, and various versions of flat-panel riveted roofs.

Hope this helps.
