Am building the Rock Island stockcar available from Rocket Express. Before attaching the body to the underframe I took an image of how I keep the wood slats at the end straight in line. Once I have the ends attached to the top and bottom of the side I use a piece of wood HO 1” x10” to provide a shelf for the floating slats to but up against.
