Tom Palmer, Dick Harley and Tony Thompson all guided me through this R40-4 rebuilt.  Wood platforms were gone, steel plates over the ice drainage and 4”x4” hatch stops added to the roof.  Decals are from National Scale Car, they aren’t specifically made for the R40-4 but I used them anyway as they are so thin and extremely accurate.  The Plano ice hatch latch bars are well worth the money
