“The trucks aren't shown very well in this view, but from what I can see, they look like Ajax trucks.  See the 1906 Car Builder's Dictionary, fig. 4407-4409.”

“Ajax trucks were a cast steel pedestal truck from ASF. While they weren't unique to Southern, they don't appear to have been very common. Pedestal trucks generally fell out of favor shortly after the ToC.

Bob Karig's Coal Cars book has a fairly extensive overview of truck designs, which I think may include Ajax. I can't confirm that recollection because my copy of the book is still in storage, unfortunately.”
