Hmmm, if the Sunshine kit is off in terms of roof, ends and height, is the prototype closer to a Red caboose PFE R-30-x  reefer?  I haven't done a dimensional analysis using ORER dimensions, but the biggest visual difference seems to be the channel end sill and slightly shorter door on the MDT. 

I'm sure others will tell me all the other things wrong with that proposed kitbash, but then ... that's how we collectively learn, so bring it on!
