Well, I can't take credit for knowing what I'm talking about, since it's Bob Chaparro who cited the original photo of the gun barrel on RDG 99048 (and thanks again, Bob!).

I can take credit for a "you moron" moment of my own, as the fifty foot flat car that Micro-Trains has also released as a "buffer car" to accompany the DC flat with gun barrel is painted as a Reading FMe class car, not a FMc class car.
