Mike's Sherman Hill layout has always been an inspiration for me. I live in Northern Colorado and have driven between Cheyenne and Laramie countless times and have always been impressed with how accurately he captured the look and feel of Sherman Hill. I still have the issue of his layout in Model Railroad Planning. Sadly, I never had the chance to meet him in person
