For my two cents, it certainly appears that Walthers has created what is now a third tank body for its generic underframe.  They also refer to their 3 compartment car as 36'.

 

The "original" was the single compartment

 
 

 

Then came the 3 compartment

 

 

And now, we will have the "chemical" tank version.

 

 

I noticed that only the undecorated version artwork shows the brake cylinder side of the car.

 

I do wish that they had expended some effort on the underframe.  The new tank may well be useful.

Attached are the pages out of the Walthers New Product announcement just to ensure we are all on the same page.  Bruce, can you please post a link or two to photos of the new Walthers cars?  I Googled and only found artwork similar to what is shown in the attached.
