I agree it's between purple and magenta; I have a small color photo
somewheres.

Due to the complexities of the Ed Mines filing system I can locate
that photo about as easily as I can find Jimmy Hoffa, but I do know
the probable source of the photo - Henry Maywald. A lot of his color
photos have appeared in all color freight car books.

Anyone on the list know how to get in touch with him?
