Ted, brief comment about the Web site text: all the 50 BX cars were delivered with ASF A-3 trucks, and kept them for about 3 years. It appears that 35 or 40 of the cars got Allied trucks in late 1948 and early 1949, and kept them for about three years. (Most of them came from SP cabooses.) They were replaced by outside-equalizer General Steel Castings trucks, primarily due to SP aggravation with the maintenance problems of the Allied trucks. This was prior to the time the Allied trucks were banned in interchange.
