In the American literature, "diamond arch-bar trucks" are just one of many designs. Shapes (and number) of the bars varied widely among designs, as did bolsters, spring groups, etc. To call all arch-bar trucks "diamond" (if Jahn does so) is on a par with calling all cast-steel U-frame trucks "Bettendorf."
