Re: Chicago--Hobby Shop

By far the best in Chicago:
Zientek's, 2001 W. 18th Street (corner of Damen & 18th). It's a hobby shop and tavern, owned by John Zientek, an avid model railroader. I will be driving on I-55 to Lake Shore Drive, and then on to the University of Chicago. Can anyone suggest any hobby shops along that path or in that area? I am looking for shops that have a good offering of parts for scratch building and kit bashing freight cars. I realize that Chicago Land Hobby and Des Plaines hobby are great for parts. But they would be way out of the way. Bruce ===== Bruce R. Brantner, Sr. Coyote Trails RR Coyote Div. of SF RR __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
