FWIW:

The 1948 Monon conductors log I've been going through
shows covered hoppers being used for only Lime (1
car), Cement (11 cars), and Soda Ash (1 car). This is
out of 510 cars. So far nothing else has come up.
(except for that illusive commodity XCH!!!! :) )
