Pure Oil also had a refinery at Dawes, WV, on the C&O's Cabin Creek Sub. I have been told that it shut down circa 1954, but the structures were still in place for some time after. Several of the brick buildings still remain.
Among Pure's domestic oil and gas wells in 1958 were those around Cabin Creek. Pure had substantial interests in pipelines; so I assume that whatever crude was hauled from Cabin Creek went via pipeline.
