whatever crude was hauled from Cabin Creek went via pipeline.
Pure's first big field was the Cabin Creek field, and the refinery there was built very early. There is a good aerial view of it in the Union 76 history book. And BTW, it has long lines of tank cars. Presumably they were to haul refinery product, not crude.
