Couldn't be done or shouldn't be done?My Grandfather who was a brakeman,
was killed when he lost his balance and fell between two cars of a moving

I have resisted saying so to this point, but the claim that it
was "impossible" to traverse a train with empty open-tops is simply
silly. There are plenty of reports that it WAS done, and I have never
seen a steam-era comment that it couldn't be done.
