Richard, I agree. I remember back in the 60s and 70s when I lived back East in Minnesota even the radio personalities were confused. WCCO radio in Minneapolis/St. Paul was always braying "Here in the great Northwest!" I may have been raised in the Midwest but I was born in the real Great Northwest and knew the difference.
