This is not meant as a criticism of Roger, who can do whatever he wants on his layout, and none of us can object. But I would like to gently criticize the concept of "modeler's license," which is achieved perhaps most cogently in Tony Koester's comment, that if you don't model real railroading, you're just playing with trains.
