Richard Hendrickson's Mather box car article in RMJ August 2003 refers to the EStLJctRR's entire freight car fleet, as of 10/47, being leased from Mather (they had stock cars too.) The January 1953 ORER states there are no freight cars owned by the road, and there's no listing of leased cars in that entry or in the Mather Co. entry. When did the last cars disappear?
