Yeah... I think I've bought 3 or 4 RTR freight cars but IIRC they were being unloaded oneBay at kit prices (or less). Outside of Branchline, I don't think I've purchased anything but resin for the past several years.
Well, as this NYC car will be in Styrene... if it's a kit I'll certainly consider it. Can't be bothered if it's RTR.
