This is a reasonably accurate model of the single-sheathed cars rebuilt
with steel sides by the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie (New York Central
System) in 1934. There's also a Tichy kit that is okay (except for the
roof) for the single sheathed cars rebuilt with steel side sheathing by
the Central of Georgia. Beyond that, you're in fantasy land because it
seems like every RR that rebuilt the USRA cars did it in at least a
slightly different way, often increasing their height by a variety of
expedients.
