Dave, thanks for posting Tim's obituary. I was very sorry to learn that he had passed away. I also greatly enjoyed Tim's posts here and had many pleasant conversations with him at Naperville and other meets.
You posts and Tim's motivated me to spend many pleasant hours tabulating the RRs and car types that can be seen in photos of WM freight trains. The results support the idea that ORER counts can be used to predict the counts for WM freight trains. Tim always made thoughtful comments when I talked about my results at RPM meets.
