Hi Folks

What do the initials "A.C.D." stand for? They appear in the
description of an ACL ventilator car series in the 1953 ORER, page 3,
line 32, series 43735-44234. The full description (under the column
heading "Markings and Kind of Cars") reads: ' " Ventilated. Steel
Underfrm., A.C.D. ' This is for a class VM series.

While there is just this one occurrence in the 1953 ORER, six of eight
descriptions of the ACL VM series in the 1938 ORER have "A.C.D."
appended to "Steel Underframe".
