Comments: these were all lettered T&NO (or TNO after 1958) until well after 1961, so only "SP" in that sense. Quite a few were indeed rebuilt with steel sides (almost half the fleet), but that didn't start until the late 1950s. The F&C wood-side version is fine for the T&NO cars; many went to scrap in the '60s in that form.
