Don't know about all of the railroad details, but I bought and owned one, built in 1913, two story, until 1997.

Heard it was shipped in by rail to Ganado, Texas, and assembled by a carpenter & helper. Well built and all cypress siding. Full sized 2" X 4" construction. Still standing today in all it's glory. Nicest house in town. Paul Hillman
