During the construction of Lindbergh's Spirit of St. Louis, it was
discovered the wing was too large to get out of the shop (proverbial
boat in the basement) so it was removed via a second story window onto
the roof of a loaned ATSF Fe-P. Saw this on the History Channel a few
years back and finally got around to searching for it.

of Fe-Ps before they got double doors and auto racks and were
reclassified Fe-T in the 1930s, so us Santa Fe guys are happy to have
